Radiometric thermal imaging

As thermal imaging technology continues to advance, the introduction of more sophisticated radiometric thermal cameras is enabling the creation of custom solutions that can measure the absolute temperature of a point within a camera image without requiring physical contact.

Engineered camera solutions are available with these features as part of a broader solution or as a standalone application. When combined with analytic software, multi-point temperature measurement within a single camera scene is possible. This includes scheduling, recording, and creating alarm outputs that integrate with security, safety, or process management systems.

Recent technological advancements have enabled radiometric thermal cameras to measure the absolute temperature of every pixel, allowing rapid detection of the energy stored in every pixel of the object being observed.

These solutions offer time-saving measurement masking features that enable areas of thermal interest to be selected, allowing systems to operate day and night effectively, even in the presence of smoke or mist that may obstruct the field of view.

Radiometric solutions offer cost-efficient monitoring and control capabilities. They are increasingly being used in safety monitoring applications to provide live, high-resolution images and fast detection of potentially hazardous material temperature changes.
