Let me share my first experience with #zoomcarindia #pedl cycle renting service in #Bengaluru, #India.
I am with the try to curb the pollution in our city as well as from the world. I was not even using my car in the city for the last few years. And eventually, I sold out my car in a huge loss so that I really support the movement to curb the pollution.
Nowadays I am using public transportation, only a few times in a month I use my motorcycle. I mainly use buses or my cycle to travel inside the city for the daily commute.
Yesterday I needed to go to my motorcycle service station which is located around 2.5 km from my office in Bengaluru, India. I needed to go there before the service station closes down for the day/week.
I thought why not use #zoomcarinda #pedl cycle to go quickly after going out from office instead using auto with a high fare and pollution of course.
I have installed their APP [https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoomcar] to use or rent the cycle. I linked my payment app #paytm with this APP as well to pay seamlessly.
Now started my misery with this low standard application of the renting cycle.
From APP I found that 2 cycles in #pedl parking which are front of our office building [Golden Enclave, HAL Road]. I rushed there but found no cycle at all. I have searched a lot but not found any. I was losing time to closing my motorcycle workshop I have to reach.
After 100 meters or so walking I found manually another parking with 2 cycles there. I have used the APP and scan the code in back mudguard, exactly as their application asked. It immediately sends me SMS and shown in APP that cycle is “unlocked” now and the trip started. So money count start. But cycle was not unlocked.
I have little pushed the hook of the lock of that cycle. But I couldn’t unlock the cycle. I was losing time and that place was too dark. I tried to End the Trip but it was just showing never ending process. But couldn’t end the trip. So I checked the lock of the cycle that it was secure or not. Otherwise, someone will theft and I shall be in trouble. The lock was tight and secure though APP showing that my trip is ongoing. I left the place after losing valuable 15 min time.
As they do not have any customer care phone. So you can’t ask for help in this type of problem.
I took an auto to reach the workshop to take my motorcycle and came back home within 1 hour.
I have checked the APP that trip continues and the fare is increasing rapidly as per time fly by. I tried to End the trip and it ended and deducted money from my linked #paytm app immediately and sent me SMS as well.
Means I suffered, anxious, lost the time, harassment and the loosen money as well. I immediately tweet them with all the details. But they have not taken any action to neither revert my money back nor to solve this problem for others instead just auto reply with invalid talking.
If you want to lose your time, money and harassment then definitely use their service #zoomcarindia and #pedl. And also you can be in potential threat of losing cycle anytime and maybe you have to pay a hefty money for the cycle to them as well. Their application is totally worst. No customer care option. So you can understand that their business is not suitable for anybody. Even you are using their services any day you can be in great trouble. Be very careful.
Another loophole for a customer is it charges per 10 minutes. So even you ended a trip within 11 minutes but you have to pay for 20 minutes. So ultimately you have been charged 90% more.
We will wait for their correct application and honest business model. Where they will solve the issues immediately. Till then no use of their services.
